Asking for feedback

As you continue with fieldwork and interviewing we talked about the importance of seeking feedback. Your inquiry and reflection processes are responsive. You should constantly be seeking and incorporating feedback from interviewees and community members throughout the research process

  • Ongoing, informal: “did I understand that correctly?”

    • When out and about in the field

    • During events, in conversation

    • During and after interviews

  • More formal, facilitated

    • Sharing back interview recordings

    • Listening party

    • Facilitated discussions (virtual or in person)

    • Article in community newspaper - inviting engagement
