What is The Non-Fiction Comics Festival?

From science to politics, history to health care, cartooning has exploded as a legitimate medium for exploring non-fiction topics and the textures of lived experience.

With roots in the Vermont Folklife’s Non-Fiction Comics Mini-Fest (2017, 2018 & 2019) and their partnership with the University of Vermont, the Pulp Culture Comic Arts Festival and Symposium (2017 & 2018), NCFS celebrates the full scope of non-fiction cartooning with the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington, Vermont.
