Join VT Folklife and Essex Pride for a pop-up display of Portraits in Pride at the Essex Pride Festival from 1pm-5pm on June 3, 2023 at Maple Street Park in Essex Junction.

Portraits in Pride is a part of our Pride 1983 exhibit featuring photographs by M. Sharkey of eight Vermonters involved in organizing the state’s first Pride event and audio excerpts of interviews by VT Folklife.

VT Folklife will be on hand all day with our partners from the Vermont Queer Archives project of the Pride Center of Vermont—stop by and say hi!
