Vermont’s agricultural heritage gets a starring role in Rooted: Cultivating Community in the Vermont Grange. The film explores how this national farmers’ organization has advocated for rural communities since 1867. It weaves archival images and oral histories with footage of modern-day events to paint a comprehensive picture of the organization and the New Englanders it supports. Join Historic New England and the Vermont Folklife Center for this premiere screening, followed by refreshments prepared by Grange members.
